RegiStar is a unique program that fully automate the complete mission of digital astronomical images. RegiStar changes, rotated, flipped, and distorts when needed to correct the exact image, even if they are at different rates or directions or are created with different optical systems. RegiStar operates on digital or film, automatic removal of noise including hotspots. RegiStar can register all images in a folder with a single command and have other strong bulk processing capabilities.

RegiStar is an image-based program, or registered, designed to function specifically with astronomical images. RegiStar searches for stars in an image and uses their location to adjust this image to another image or image group.

Features of RegiStar

• RegiStar does not require input users to complete the registration, in addition to the technical specifications of the image. The comparison and modification is made automatically without input of any appropriate point or parameters.
• RegiStar includes the ability to handle some images at the same time, in a series. The entire image directory can be registered with a single order and a number of other commands can also handle multiple images.
• RegiStar also includes a number of tools to assemble and manipulate the image after they have been registered. These tools are specifically designed to automate tasks that are often performed by digital astronomical cameras, such as creating a puzzle, creating three-color images, and stacked overlapping patterns.
• TIFF images, JPEG and FITS are supported. RegiStar supports the depth of 8 and 16-bit inside, but will read FITS images with a higher depth.
• RegiStar is not an image editing program. It is designed to register and assemble images, and except the ability to edit this image to another image, without any commands to adjust the brightness or contrast, remove the bug or edit the image.
