System Requirements and Compatibility

• QLab Pro requires macOS Big Sur (macOS 11) or later and runs on any Mac capable of running Big Sur or later.
• The software supports both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, with Apple Silicon Macs typically offering superior performance, especially for video processing due to their advanced integrated graphics and dedicated video decoding circuitry.
• The recommended minimum RAM is 4 GB for simple programs, with 8 GB or more recommended for more complex productions involving multiple audio or video signals.
• Storage requirements are largely dependent on the size of the media files used in the program, as the QLab workspace itself is small.
• For programs with a lot of video, a Mac with a discrete GPU or a Mac running Apple Silicon is preferred. Intel Macs can use an external GPU (eGPU) via Thunderbolt to enhance video performance.
• QLab does not support running in virtual machines or on hackintosh setups.
