News Ticker 1.2.0

The program can display smoothly scrolling text in a resizable window strip/ribbon, at full screen width or smaller. News Ticker has the latest programming techniques for smooth text scrolling (hardware acceleration of graphics). Use it to keep up to date with the latest news (includes a large, editable RSS/Atom news feed) or for presentation purposes, during TV/video broadcasts or for advertising under any form.

• Scroll speed can be adjusted within a wide range
• Scroll speed adjustable (using slider in settings dialog)
• Erase function - scroll back and forth through your text with a slider, use the slider in the control window
• Selectable background color, text color and text font
• Transparent or semi-transparent background possible, so text can be displayed on the background image
• Scroll from right to left or from left to right (reverse direction mode)
• "Pause on mouse click" option: click on window to stop/restart scrolling mode

• For external files on local or network drives, any text changes in the file will update the scrolling text immediately
• In URL / news feed mode, select update frequency from 1 minute to 12 hours
• Stick to border / resize to full screen width function (when near top/bottom screen border, window will resize to full width)
• Optional multi-line mode (if not too many line breaks, otherwise will be cut off - not available in news feed mode)
• Selectable line break icon (icon, color and size can be adjusted to separate lines or stories)
• Article preview for news feed: when hovering over the feed title, the preview window displays the article title and a button to go to the web news article (left or right justified)
